ACB arrests Female GST Officer for accepting Bribe of Rs.4000 The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a female GST officer on Wednesday for accepting a bribe of Rs 4000. According to ACB sources, Snehal Thakur (52), a corrupt female GST officer, lives in Nashik near the Ashwin Hotel and Ashwin Sankul Row House. The complainant requested that the Business Tax Officer on September 13 to cancel the business tax of his company, Kalpdeep Industrial Security Services, which had been closed for two years. As compensation for cancelling the said business tax, Snehal Thakur, a public servant, demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 from the complainant before the Panchayat. After a compromise, the complainant agreed to pay 4000 rupees and filed a complaint against Snehal Thakur with the Anti-Corruption Department. The complainant then approached the Anti-Corruption Department and filed a complaint against Snehal Thakur. Following an investigation into the complaint, a team from the Anti-Corruption Department set up a trap at the Business Tax Office. At the time, Thakur was apprehended by an anti-corruption team while accepting a Rs 4000 bribe from the complainant. Meanwhile, Deputy Superintendent Vishwajit Jadhav, Havaldar Prakash Dongre, Pranay Ingle, Shital Suryavanshi, and other Anti-Corruption Department employees took action.
