Army War College Recruitment 2023: The Commandant, Army War College (AWC), Mhow, Ministry of Defence, Government of India has sought Applications from the Candidates meeting Eligibility for Consultant (SME) Positions. According to Army War College Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, there are 05 Vacancies to be filled up with Appointments as Engagement as Subject Matter Expert Consultants.
Among the Candidates Eligible and Willing to be Applicants for Consultant (SME) Posts may apply in the Prescribed Specimen Application Proforma.
Eligible Applicants should go through all the Parameters under different Paragraphs and Sub-Paragraphs mentioned in the later part and be duly satisfied with their Suitability in terms of Age Limits, Essential Qualifications, etc. for the Subject Matter Expert Consultant Post before applying.
The Last Date for the Willing Candidates to complete the Application Submission Process within 30 Days Post-released Army War College Recruitment 2023 Notification.
Post Title: Consultant (SME) on the following Subjects:
I) Geopolitics and International Relations.
II) Military Strategy and Doctrine.
III) National Security and Governance.
IV) Military Technology (to include Emerging, Disruptive and Developing Technologies)
V) Military History and Campaigns.
Vacancy: 05 Vacancies (01 each Post for each Subject Expert)
Remuneration: Rs. 80000 (Consolidated) Per Month
Post-Selection as Consultants (SME), the Candidates shall be entitled to a Fixed Monthly Remuneration of Rs.80000 (Rupees Eighty Thousand) only Payable to them.
Maximum Age Limit: The candidates should not exceed the age limit of 70 Years.
As notified in the Army War College Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the Candidates (as on 01.01.2023) should not exceed 70 Years.
The Eligible and Willing Candidates should have gained the Eligibility comprising Essential Qualifications coupled with the Post-Qualification Experience explained hereunder:
Qualification and Experience of Consultant (SME):
The Applicant Candidate must be a Practitioner-Scholar with an Outstanding Professional Record and a distinguished Academic and publishing Credentials.
A) Essential Qualifications:
i) Magister Philosophiae (M.Phil.)/Post-Graduation Specialisation in respective Subject/Category.
ii) Should have got published Research Paper/Book on the Subject/Associated field.
iii) Should have an more than 20 Years Experience in the Subject/Associated field.
B) Desirable Qualifications:
i) Philosohiae Doctor (Ph.D.) in the Subject/Associated field.
ii) Minimum 12-Months Affiliation with any Think-Tank/Agency functional in the Domain.
iii) Teaching Experience in Academic Institution of Repute.
iv) Should have adequate knowledge of Research Methodology.
iv) Experience of being a Research Guide.
vi) Proficient in English and Hindi and have functional Information Technology Skills.
The Selection Process for Consultant (SME) involved is as has been explained in the Army War College Recruitment 2023 Advertisement issued for the purpose. The Individuals may apply for more than 01 (One) Category. However, they shall have to submit a separate Application for each Category with Documents appended thereto and altogether enclosed into an Envelop Cover superscripted in Bold Capital Letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST CONSULTANT (SME) (Specifying Category)” .
The Applicant Candidates Applications received shall be screened by a Screening-cum-Selection Committee. The Screening-cum-Selection Committee shall consist of 03 Members at as decided by Army War College.
The Screening-cum-Selection Committee shall invariably hold Interaction/Interview with the Applicants, either in person or in Online Mode which shall be decided by the Army War College.
Post Selection, for Appointment as Consultant (SME) for 12 Months, the Successful Candidate(s) would be issued Offer Letter(s) clearly indicating the Terms and Conditions of Engagement in the capacity of Consultant (SME).
An Agreement mentioning the Terms and Conditions of Engagement shall be signed by the selected SMEs/Consultants and Army War College.
Period of Engagement:
a) The Initial Engagement of a Person as Consultant (SME) would be as mentioned in the Offer Letter or 12 (Twelve) Months, whichever being less.
b) Prior Approval of the Competent Authority will be sought prior to taking up any other Assignment during the Engagement Period in the Army War College.
The Candidate should submit respective duly completed Applications annexed with the Prescribed Self-attested Documents along with Self-addressed Registered Envelop Properly Affixed with Appropriate Postal Stamp, which should be addressed to Col GS FoS&L C/o The Commandant, Army War College, Mhow Cantonment, Mhow 453 441, Madhya Pradesh.
