Assam PAT 2023 Registration Closing Today: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam will close the registration process for the Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2023 today, 8th May 2023. Interested and eligible candidates should immediately visit the official website of the DTE Assam. Candidates should register and apply fast for the Assam PAT 2023, as no further extension may be provided by the DTE Assam. The registration process for the same started on 10th April 2023.

Earlier, the Assam’s Minister of Education, Welfare of Plain Tribe & Backward Classes, Ranoj Pegu announced the exam date for the Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2023 on its official Twitter handle. The official announcement for the Assam PAT 2023 exam date came on 24th April at around 9 pm. The Assam PAT 2023 will be conducted on Sunday, 18th June 2023. The examination will be conducted across the state.

The DTE Assam administers the Assam PAT for admission to 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology courses at Assam State Government Polytechnic Colleges as well as Polytechnics outside Assam (against Government of India seats). The Assam PAT 2023 has approximately 3525 seats available. For general category students, the online application cost for the Assam PAT 2023 is Rs 500.

Exam Pattern for Assam PAT 2023

The Assam PAT 2023 exam will be conducted offline, i.e., a pen & paper-based exam. The examination will be held for a duration of two hours, from 10 am to 12 noon. The question paper will contain questions from Science and Mathematics subjects only. The examination will be conducted for a total of 100 marks. The Assam PAT 2023 question paper will contain only Multiple Choice Questions.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam PAT 2023

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam has notified detailed eligibility criteria to appear for the Assam PAT 2023. The detailed eligibility criteria has been mentioned below:

• The candidate must have passed H.S.L.C. or any equivalent exam in a single sitting.
• Candidates must have scored at least 40% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Science. The minimum aggregate marks for SC is 35% and ST is 33%
• Candidates must be a permanent residents of Assam (except Central Govt. Employees quota)
• Candidates must not be older than 20 years and 6 months as on 31st December 2023. There is 3 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates
