Bank Holidays in January 2023: Banks to Remain Shut for 14 Days in January; Check Details Bank Holidays in January 2023: With the new year almost here, there's a whole new set of bank holidays in January 2023 to look forward to. You must be aware of all Indian state-specific bank holidays if you want to plan extended weekend getaways as well as know when to avoid going to the bank. In accordance with RBI regulations, banks will be closed for 14 days in January 2023. The banks will be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays in addition to the 14-day holiday. Banks will be closed on all public holidays with some regional holidays, depending on the particular state. Regional holidays are not included on the official RBI website because they are determined by the different state governments. Beginning with the New Year 2023 on January 1st (a Sunday), there are 14 bank holidays in January 2023. All Indian banks, with the exception of some states, will also mark additional festivals like Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti on January 5th as bank holidays.
