BEL Recruitment 2023: Bharat Electronics Limited, a Navratna company under the Ministry of Defence, is seeking to hire Project Engineers-I on a temporary basis for Homeland Security and Smart City Business Strategic Business Unit for a project located in Punjab. The company is India’s premier professional electronics company that provides advanced electronics solutions for defence, aerospace, and civilian applications. The company is looking for candidates with a BE/B.Tech/B.Sc in Electronics/ Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication/ Telecommunication/ Communication/ Electrical & Electronics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/Information Science from AICTE/UGC-approved recognized institute/University/College. As per BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience as of 01.03.2023. Candidates applying for the post should be willing to travel across India.
The position of Project Engineer-I is initially for a period of three years from the date of joining, with the possibility of an extension for one more year, depending on the progress of the project and the candidate’s performance. As per BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the upper age limit for the position is 32 years, and the remuneration for the position is Rs. 40,000 in the first year, Rs. 45,000 in the second year, and ₹ 50,000 in the third year. The company has reserved 4% of the posts for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD), and the concession/relaxation for reserved categories will be as per Government guidelines.
The candidates should have relevant post-qualification industrial experience in IT Infrastructure Projects/ IP Networking/ Data Centre Projects/CCTV Projects/Sensors based IOT Projects/ any IP enabled Electronic/ Software product Installation, Configuration, Maintenance, or Product Support Services. The job responsibilities of the Project Engineer-I include Configuration, Updation, and Maintenance of IP Enabled sensors, Configuration, Updation, and Maintenance of Data Centre infrastructure, Configuration, Updation, and Maintenance of IT Application Software, and Configuration, Updation, and Maintenance of Command and Control Centre Viz PC, Work Station, Data Wall, etc., along with sensor network, Power.

As per BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility criteria for the position of Project Engineer-I, candidates must have a BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg-4 years) degree in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, or Information Technology/Science from an AICTE/UGC-approved recognized institute/university/college. Candidates from General, OBC (NCL), and EWS categories must have an aggregate of 55% or above in all semesters/years, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates must have a pass class.
The upper age limit for General and EWS candidates is 32 years as of 01.03.2023. OBC (NCL) candidates will get a relaxation of three years, SC/ST candidates will get a relaxation of five years, and PwBD candidates with a minimum of 40% disability will get a relaxation of 10 years, in addition to the relaxation applicable to OBC (NCL)/SC/ST candidates.

As per BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process for this position involves a Written Test and Interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be eligible for the Written Test, and the venue for the test and interview will be communicated at a later date. The Written Test will carry 85% weightage, while the interview will carry 15% weightage.
Candidates who pass the Written Test will be called for the interview in a ratio of 1:5, based on their merit ranking. The final list of candidates shortlisted for the Written Test and Interview, as well as the selected candidates, will be posted on the company’s website. The call letters for the Written Test and Interview will be sent via email, so candidates should ensure that they provide a valid email address during the application process.
