The Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) is a non-profit organization that falls under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, and serves as an interface agency to support and enable the developing biotech enterprise to engage in strategic research and innovation while addressing needs for product development that are relevant to the country.

Job Description of BIRAC Recruitment 2022:

• Managing and Facilitation of Equity investments for Biotech Startups

Job Role for BIRAC Recruitment 2022:

• examining the deal flow and investment pipeline for biotech startups.
• Participate actively in early-stage biotech investors and startups. Organize investor forums begin conversations, and actively keep visibility of an exciting startup to draw funding.
• Assessing, facilitating, and maintaining a portfolio implement measures to oversee startup funding and growth momentum
• Assist in the execution of the process of due diligence for provide assistance to the team and make new investments on market, strategic, and technology analysis
• Organize review sessions, drawdown requests, and interactions with stakeholders, the advisory committee, and selection committees.
• Develop and adapt creative methods for scalable fundraising techniques.
• Working together with project teams to make sure sponsored projects’ deliverables and agreed-upon milestones are implemented promptly and effectively.
• Prepare strategic documents and quarterly analysis reports.
• Find gaps and offer workable solutions for ecosystem expansion.
• Any additional job-related responsibilities that arise as a result of organizational management planning as needed.
• There will be a need for domestic travel.

The scale of Pay for BIRAC Recruitment 2022:

• Rs. 60,000/- 1,70,000/- plus 35% Perquisites and 27% HRA.

Qualification for BIRAC Recruitment 2022:

• Post Graduate Degree in Finance/ Business Administration
  Or
• Graduate in any discipline who is Startup Founder/co-founder that has raised Angel/ VC funding Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desirable Qualifications:

• Post Graduate degree in biomedical engineering/ life sciences/ biotechnology/ allied areas

Experience Required for BIRAC Recruitment 2022: 6 Years

Minimum of two years of demonstrated, practical expertise in early-stage technological asset management, fundraising, company valuation, and equity management. Knowledge of the biotech industry will be a plus.
