"For example, if a seven-story structure had two apartments on each floor, even three incidents could have resulted in sealing." With the change, the building would only be sealed if there are at least 10 cases," a BMC official said. Previously, if five or more cases were discovered, the BMC would seal a building or wing of a housing complex. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, the entire building was handled as a micro-containment zone. The amended order will take effect on Tuesday. The local board also stated that the building's managing committee should assist patients with necessary supplies. On the fifth and seventh days of home quarantine, high-risk contacts of Covid patients should be examined.
