BPSSC Recruitment 2023 for 64 Vacancies: Check Posts, Eligibility and Application Procedure
BPSSC Recruitment 2023: The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC), Patna has invited Online Applications from the Candidates with Eligible for 02 Posts; i.e., 01) Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) and 02) Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer with 64 Vacancies through BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification Dated 02.05.2023. According to the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, there are 64 Vacancies notified are as 01) Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) (11 Vacancies) and 02) Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer (53 Vacancies including Backlog) termed as 01) Sub-Inspectors in the Prohibition in Prohibition, Excise & Registration Department, Government of Bihar and 02) Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer in Bihar Fire Services, Home Department (Police), Government of Bihar.
As per the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement for 01) Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) (11 Vacancies) and 02) Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer the Candidates with Interest therein may apply Online. Based on the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Last Date for Online Application by the Eligible Candidates is 04.06.2023.
According to the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, Notified 64 Vacancies will be filled up as has been narrated hereunder:
01) Sub-Inspector (Prohibition in Prohibition, Excise & Registration Department): 11 Vacancies
02) Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer [Bihar Fire Services, Home Department (Police)]: 53 Vacancies (including Backlog)
According to the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Pay Level Entitlement to both Posts shall be as hereunder:

According to the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Age Limit for Un-Reserved Category Candidates (as on 01.01.2023) remains as hereunder:
i) Un-Reserved Category Male Candidate: Minimum 20 Years and Maximum 37 Years.
ii) Un-Reserved Category Female Candidates: Minimum 20 Years and Maximum 40 Years.
Relaxations in Upper Age Limit for Reserved Community Candidates are as per Government Rule to be read in the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Notification.
According to the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Educational Qualification Required for both Posts as on 01.01.2023 is as follows:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree/Graduation from any Duly Recognized University Or Equivalent Examination Passed from the State Government Recognized Institute.
Detailed Physical Standards Test Criteria:
As has been narrated in the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Selection for on to both Posts 01) Sub-Inspectors in the Prohibition in Prohibition, Excise & Registration Department, Government of Bihar and 02) Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer in Bihar Fire Services, Home Department (Police), Government of Bihar.
The Bihar Police Subordinate Selection Commission shall conduct the Selection Test consisting of 03 Stages for both Posts 01) Sub-Inspectors in the Prohibition in Prohibition, Excise & Registration Department, Government of Bihar and 02) Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer in Bihar Fire Services, Home Department (Police), Government of Bihar as follows:
The BPSSC will carry out the Selection Process for Both Posts Sub-Inspector and Sub-Divisional Fire Station Officer Posts will be conducted in the order of Merit determined/prepared by taking into account the Marks obtained in the Main Written Examination. The Physical Efficiency Test remains qualifying in nature.
1st Stage: The 1st Paper (Preliminary Test) with 02-Hours’ Examination Duration shall have 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type for 200 Marks. The Candidates scoring Minimum 30 Percentile Marks will be shortlisted in the Preliminary Examination. The Candidates shortlisted in the Preliminary Examination will be called in for appearing in the Main Written Examination.
2nd Stage: The 2nd Paper (Main Written Examination) with 02-Hours’ Examination Duration shall have 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type for 200 Marks. The Candidates shall have to score/obtain Minimum Qualifying 30% Marks in the Main Written Examination will be shortlisted in the Preliminary Examination. The Candidates Successful in the Main Examination would be subjected to the Physical Efficiency Test, which is Qualifying in nature.
3rd Stage: Physical Efficiency Test: The BPSSC shall organize a Physical Efficiency Test for the Candidates Shortlisted for Final Selection. The Physical Efficiency Test, though Qualifying in nature, comprises 04 Events; viz., 01) Run/Race; 02) High Jump; 03) Long Jump and 04) Shot-Put.
The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission will prepare Category-wise Merit List in the order of Reservation. The Merit List of the Finally Successful Candidates will be prepared Reservation Category-wise in order of Merit-cum-Priority on the basis of the Marks obtained in the Main Written Examination.
As has been mentioned in the BPSSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Examination Fee to be paid through the Payment Gateway by the Candidate shall be as follows:
i) Un-Reserved Category: Rs.700 (Rupees Seven Hundred) only
ii) Other than Un-Reserved Category Candidates: Rs.400 (Rupees Four Hundred) only
