Breaking: Income Tax Portal Not Hacked, Says Government, Infosys To Fix Technical Glitch
The Income Tax Department said on Tuesday that software services provider Infosys has been directed to investigate a problem with the e-filing portal's search option.
Following reports that the I-T site had been hacked on Tuesday, which also happened to be the platform's first anniversary, the department stated that Infosys is working to resolve the Technical issue as soon as possible.
New Income Tax Portal Hacked on its First Year Anniversary?
"An issue with the search feature of the e-filing website has been brought to our attention. The matter has been sent to the Income Tax Department. The I-T department tweeted, "Infosys has been ordered to check into it, and Infosys has confirmed that they are rectifying the issue on priority."
