BSF Recruitment 2022: The Border Security Force (BSF), Ministry of Home Affairs has invited online applications from the eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial). Online application start date is 08th August 2022 at 00:01 AM and will be closed on 06th September 2022 at 23:59 PM.  As per the official recruitment notification, the selection of the candidates will be based on the written examination, medial examination, physical test and merit list.

i) Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno): 11 Vacancies

Level 5 (Rs.29200 to Rs.92300) in Pay Matrix

ii) Head Constable (Ministerial): 312 Vacancies

Level 4 (Rs.25500 to Rs.81100) in Pay Matrix

Eligibility Criteria (As On 06.09.2022) for BSF Recruitment 2022

Upper Age Limits:

i) General Category Candidates: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 25 Years.

ii) Community-wise Relaxations in the Upper Age Limits (detailed in the Recruitment Advertisement) for the Ex-Service-Men, Widows, Divorced and not Remarried; SCs and STs as well.

Educational Qualification:

HSC/Senior Secondary School Certificate/Intermediate (10+2) from any duly recognized Board or University or Equivalent.

Skills:

i) Shorthand Speed @ 80 Words Per Minute in English OR in Hindi to be transcribed in 10 Minutes. Dictation Transcription in English in 50 Minutes and in Hindi 65 Minutes on Computer.

ii) 35 Words Per Minute in English or 30 Words Per Minute in Hindi on Computer. (35 W.P.M. in English and 30 W.P.M. in Hindi corresponding to 10500 KDPH in English and 9000 KDPH in Hindi respectively with an Average of 5 Key Depressions for each word on the Computer) in 10 Minutes’ Duration.

Selection Procedures for BSF Recruitment 2022

The Selection Procedure for Selection to the Posts ASI (Steno) & HC (Min) in the Border Security Force 2021-22 comprises 02 Stages as follows:

A) First Phase:

OMR Answer Based or Computer Based (Written) Examination.

B) Second Phase:

i) Physical Standard and Physical Measurement Test (PS & PMT)

ii) Stenography Test (Shorthand Dictation and Transcription Tests) for Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer)

iii) Computer Based Typewriting Speed Test for Head Constable (Ministerial)

iv) Documentation or Document Verification (Checking of Documents)

v) Medical Examination.
