CA Exams 2024 to be postponed? Students wait for Election Dates Desperately

This time CA students are desperately waiting for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 Dates. The reason for this is that the Examination Committee may reschedule the May 2024 CA Examination if the General Lok Sabha Election dates overlap with the current examination schedule. [Refer to the ICAI announcement on the postponing of exams].

According to news reports, the Lok Sabha election dates are scheduled to be announced on Friday this week. The announcement could be made on Thursday or Friday. As a result, we may expect the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to update the CA Exam Schedule as needed.

However, there is high speculation on Twitter and distress among the students on postponing the CA Examination in May 2024.

Current Schedule of CA Exams:

Group 1’s CA Inter examinations are set for May 3, 5, and 7 and Group 2’s on May 9, 11, and 13. An estimated 4,36,500 students have registered for the 2024 May/June exam.

Students should await the official notification:

Although it is common for the CA Examinations to be postponed, in the aftermath of general elections, students are asked to focus on their studies and wait for the official word from the government and the institute.
