CBI arrests a Superintendent Of Customs for accepting Bribe of Rs.25000 The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has arrested a Superintendent of Customs, Ahmedabad and his accomplice(Private person) in bribery of Rs.25,000/- A complaint was filed against the Superintendent of Customs, Paldi Division, Ahmedabad. The complaint claimed that the complainant, who was a partner in the merchant exporter partnership firm, had requested self-sealing authorization for a manufacturing unit. The accused allegedly sought Rs. 30,000 in exchange for granting the Self Sealing Permission. The accused and his accomplice were apprehended by CBI after falling for a trap they set and taking a Rs. 25,000 bribe. Searches were carried out at the accused's locations in Ahmedabad and Kerala, and this resulted in the recovery of papers pertaining to restrictions, including property information. Both of the arrested suspects will be presented to the appropriate court.
