CBI Arrests Delhi Police ASI for Accepting Bribe of Rs.7.89 Lakh The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 7.89 lakh from the Complainant. A complaint led to the filing of a case against an ACP of the Delhi Police and another employee. According to the complaint, the ACP of the Delhi Police sought Rs. 15 lakh through the named official in order to grant relief to the complainant's wife in a FIR filed at the Bhalswa Police Station in Delhi under Section 21 of the NDPS Act. CBI laid a trap and caught the ASI (said official) while accepting the bribe of Rs. 7.89 lakh from the Complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused located at Delhi and Faridabad. Investigation is continuing. The arrested accused will be produced before the Designated Court at Delhi.
