CBI Arrests Municipal Corporation Engineer of Delhi for Accepting Bribe of Rs.40000 The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has arrested a Junior Engineer (Building), MCD, Patparganj, New Delhi for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 40,000/- from the Complainant. A complaint was filed against the Junior Engineer (Building), MCD, Patparganj, New Delhi, alleging that he demanded a bribe of Rs. 40,000/- per slab for the construction of five slabs at the complainant's property in East Delhi in a phased manner. The accused was captured in a trap set by the CBI while taking the complainant's bribe of Rs. 40,000. Incriminating documents and around Rs. 14.50 lakh (approximately) in cash were recovered after searches were conducted at the accused's premises. The detained suspect will appear before the Delhi Designated Court.
