CBI Files Chargesheet Against Maharashtra Ex-Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in Corruption Case The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has today filed Charge Sheet before the Court of Special Judge, CBI cases, Greater Mumbai, Mumbai against the  Home Minister; his PS, and his PA in an ongoing investigation of a case. CBI had registered a case on 21.04.2021 against the Home Minister of the Maharashtra Government and others. A Preliminary inquiry was earlier registered by CBI on 06.04.2021 against the Home Minister, Government of Maharashtra, and others on the orders dated 05.04.2021 of High Court of Bombay in PIL No.06/2021. It was revealed during Preliminary Enquiry that the said accused and others allegedly attempted to obtain undue advantage for improper & dishonest performance of their public duties. It was also alleged that the said accused & others exercised undue influence over the transfers & postings of Police Officers. Further investigation is still going on.
