Central Bank of India Invites Applications from CA Firms for Concurrent Audit 2026-27
The Central Bank of India has recently released guidelines for applying for Concurrent Audit assignments for the financial year 2026-27.
Who Can Apply:
Applications are invited from Chartered Accountant (CA) firms and certain retired bank staff (ex-staff). To be eligible, they must satisfy the eligibility criteria, such as ICAI certification, RBI empanelment and relevant audit experience.
Types of Branches and Eligibility:
The application has to be filled out online. While applying, you can choose up to four branches or offices where you would like to work. Different types of branches, such as special branches or regional offices, may have different eligibility rules, so applicants need to check the requirements for each category before selecting them.
Conditions:
Some applicants may not be eligible. For example, ex-staff with previous assignments or conflicts of interest will be disqualified.
Fee/Remuneration:
The audit fees vary depending on the type of branch and the business figures handled by that branch.
Selection Process:
Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. The final decision will be taken by the bank based on its internal evaluation and guidelines.
After Selection:
Selected auditors will be required to sign an agreement with the bank, follow the bank’s audit procedures, and maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained during the audit.
Deadline
The last date to apply for empanelment with the Central Bank of india as a concurrent auditor is March 15, 2026.
