Centre Extends SAT Technical Member Meera Swarup's Tenure Till September 8, 2026
The Central Government has granted an extension of tenure to Ms Meera Swarup as Technical Member of the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) up to September 8, 2026.
Her tenure, ending March 9, 2026, has been extended for six more months, according to a notification from the Ministry of Finance.
Ms Meera Swarup was originally appointed as a Technical Member of SAT on February 23, 2022. The extension has been granted under the provisions of the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021 and the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021, and in pursuance of the Office Memorandum of the Department of Revenue.
