Central Government Notification: Constitution of Authority under Section 57(2)(a), OSH Code 2020 Recently, the Ministry of Labour & Employment has issued a notification dated 13th May 2026 regarding constitution of the designated authority under section 57(2)(a) of Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
Labour Ministry Notifies Officers to Decide "Same or Similar Work" Disputes
The designated authority has been set up by the central government under its powers in section 57(2)(a) of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020. The members are as follows:
Ministry of Labour Appoints Appellate Authorities Under Code on Wages, 2019
  1. Director General, Directorate General of Labour Welfare- Chairperson;
  2. Representative of Chief Labour Commissioner (Central)- Member;
  3. Representative of Directorate General of Mines Safety - Member
  4. Representative of Directorate General Factory Advice Service and Labour Institutes.
