CMRL Recruitment 2023: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a joint venture between the Indian and Tamil Nadu Governments, has released an employment notification for the recruitment of qualified and experienced personnel on a contract or deputation basis. The CMRL is responsible for implementing the Metro Rail Project in Chennai and is looking for candidates to fill the following posts: DGM/JGM/AGM (Finance & Accounts), AM/DM/Manager (Finance & Accounts), and AM/DM/Manager (Planning & Business Development). As per CMRL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selected candidates on contract appointment may be considered for IDA Pay Scale on a contract basis, subject to the satisfactory completion of the 2-year contract period, depending upon the requirement of CMRL and the performance of the candidate.
As per CMRL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidates who meet the age, qualification, and experience requirements can apply for the posts by forwarding the duly signed computer-generated online application form, along with attested copies of qualification, experience details, ACRs, Vigilance /D & AR Clearance & other supporting certificates/documents to CMRL. The candidates on deputation should apply online on the CMRL website under the careers section. The application fee for the contract type of appointment is Rs.300 for Unreserved & candidates falling under other categories, and Rs.50 for SC/ST candidates. The application fee is non-refundable, and candidates are advised to verify their eligibility and time limit before paying the application fee. The contract period is initially for two years, and the same will be extended for a further period subject to the requirement and performance of the candidates as per the existing terms and conditions on mutual consent.

As per CMRL Recruitment 2023 official notification, here are the eligibility criteria for each post:
a) DGM / JGM / AGM (Finance & Accounts) – On a Deputation basis:
Must be an Officer in Group ‘A’ / ’B’ service from Indian Railways / Central & State government departments or equivalent cadre in PSU/ Metro /other Govt. Organizations.
Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / 2-year MBA (Finance) from an institute of repute.
For the DGM post – Should be in JAG grade in Group (A) with a minimum of 06 years or Group B with minimum 10 years of experience.
For JGM post – Should be in SG grade in Group (A) with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
For AGM Post – Should be in SG grade in Group (A) with a minimum of 17 years of experience.
Must have exposure to MIS, Audit, Taxation (direct & indirect), and Indian Accounting Standards (INDAS).
Candidate must have experience in Corporate accounts, audit, taxation, budget, concurrence, etc from organizations of repute and requisite exposure to Oracle-based accounting software/SAP.
Exposure to Metro Rail Industry shall be an added advantage.
Age limit: DGM – 45 years, JGM – 50 years, AGM – 52 years.
b. Post Code No. 01 – DGM / JGM / AGM (Finance & Accounts) – On Contract basis:
Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / 2-year MBA (Finance) from an institute of repute.
Minimum post-qualification experience of 13 years for DGM, 15 years for JGM, and 17 years for AGM respectively.
Must have exposure to MIS, Audit, Taxation (direct & indirect), and Indian Accounting Standards (IND-AS).

Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant / 2-year MBA (Finance) from an institute of repute.
Minimum post-qualification experience of 02 years for AM, 04 years for DM, and 07 years for Manager respectively in Finance & Accounts department in a PSU or Govt Sector or in a Private Company of repute or from a reputed Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant firm.
The candidate should have sound knowledge and experience in Accounting, MIS, Taxation, Concurrence, and exposure to Oracle-based software/SAP.
Exposure to Metro Rail Industry shall be an added advantage.
d. Post Code No. 03 – AM / DM / Manager (Planning and Business Development) – On Contract basis:
Must be a B. E / B.Tech (Civil) / MBA (Marketing) from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE / UGC. Possession of an M.E / M.Tech (Civil) is preferable.
Candidate should have minimum post-qualification experience of 02 years for AM, 04 years for DM, and 07 years for Manager respectively in major civil infra projects/Metro Rail Projects.
Managing a portfolio of Planning and Business Development will be highly preferable.
Out of the total experience, the candidate for DM/Mgr should have at least a minimum of two years of experience in city-level planning and non-fare revenue-related activities in Mass transit systems /Metro rail projects.
As per CMRL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process for the posts mentioned in the given information will comprise a two-stage process. The first stage will be an interview where candidates will be judged based on their knowledge, skills, comprehension, attitude, aptitude, and physical fitness. Candidates who clear the interview stage will proceed to the second stage, which is a medical examination.
The CMRL will bear the expenses for the first-time medical examination of the candidate. However, if a candidate seeks an extension for joining, then the expenses for the second time medical examination will be borne by the candidate. To & fro travel expenses for the medical test will also be borne by the candidate. It is important to note that candidates who fail the prescribed medical test will not be given any alternative employment. The decision of CMRL in this regard will be final.
As per CMRL Recruitment 2023 official notification, to apply for a contract appointment with Chennai Metro Rail Limited, candidates must follow the given instructions. Firstly, they must pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs.300/- for unreserved and other category candidates or Rs.50/- for SC/ST candidates (for processing and postage charge) through a demand draft drawn in favor of M/s Chennai Metro Rail Limited, payable at Chennai or through electronic transfer to the given SBI account. Candidates must mention their name, postcode, and mobile number at the back of the Demand Draft. Differently-abled persons are exempt from paying the application fee, but they must attach a disability certificate with the application form.
Candidates must then apply online on the CMRL website’s careers section by registering with a valid email ID and verifying it. After that, they must fill in all details in each section and upload the requisite documents as per the specification to authenticate the information mentioned in the application form. After submitting the application online, candidates must save and print the computer-generated application form, affix a passport-size photo, and send the hard copy of the form along with self-attested copies of educational qualification certificates, experience certificates, birth certificates, community certificates, and other supporting documents through the forwarding authority to the Additional General Manager (HR) at the given address. The application envelope must be superscribed with “Employment Notification No.” and “Post applied for.” Candidates are advised to apply online well in advance of the closing date and send the hard copy of the application form before 11.05.2023, and CMRL will not be responsible for any delay/loss in postal transit of any application or payment details.
