As given in the official notification of CSL Recruitment 2023, candidates are requested to apply on a contract basis for the positions of Project Officer in various sectors such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Instrumentation, and Information Technology at Cochin Shipyard Limited Mumbai Ship Repair Unit (CMSRU), Mumbai. There are 22 vacancies available for the aforementioned role.

Age Limitation for CSL Recruitment 2023: 

As per the official notification of CSL Recruitment 2023, the applicant applying for the mentioned opportunities shall not exceed 30 years as of 05.09.2023. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates in posts reserved for them and age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and Ex-servicemen shall be as per Government of India guidelines. However, the age limit after applying all age relaxations shall exceed 45 years. 

Qualification for CSL Recruitment 2023: 

As mentioned in the official notification of CSL Recruitment 2023, candidates must have the following qualifications:

• For Project Officer (Mechanical)- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• For Project Officer (Electrical)– Degree in Electrical Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• For Project Officer ( Electronics)– Degree in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• For Project Officer (Civil)- Degree in Civil Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• For Project Officer (Instrumentation)– Degree in Instrumentation Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• For Project Officer ( Information Technology)– Engineering Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or Masters Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology with 60% marks from a recognized University.

For Project Officer (Mechanical)

• Essential– Minimum of 02 years post qualification experience in a Ship Building Company/ Ship Repair Company/marine-related Company/ Port/  Engineering Company/ Government Company or Establishment/ Semi-Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable– Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment.

For Project Officer (Electrical)

• Essential– Minimum of 02years post qualification experience in a Ship Building Company / Ship Repair Company/Marine-related company/ Port/ Engineering Company/ Government Company or Establishment/Semi-Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable– Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment.

For Project Officer (Electronics)

• Essential– Minimum of 02 years post-qualification experience in a Building Company or Ship Repair Company or Marine related Company or Port or Engineering Company or Government Company or Establishment or Semi Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable– Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment.

For Project Officer (Civil)

• Essential– Minimum of 02 years post qualification experience in a Shipyard/ Port/  Engineering Company/  Civil Construction Company or Infrastructure Development Company/ Government Company or Establishment/Semi-Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable– Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment.

For Project Officer ( Instrumentation)

• Essential– Minimum of 02 years post-qualification experience in a Building Company or Ship Repair Company or Marine related Company or Port or Engineering Company or Government Company or Establishment or Semi Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable– Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment.

For Project Officer (Information Technology)

• Essential– Minimum of 02 years post qualification experience in a Ship Building Company/ Ship Repair Company/  marine-related Company/ Port/ Engineering Company/ Government Company or Establishment/Semi-Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable–  Proficiency and experience working in a computerized environment.

Salary for CSL Recruitment 2023: 

According to the official CSL Recruitment 2023 notification, chosen candidates would receive a consolidated salary of Rs.37000 per month in the first year, Rs.38000 in the second year, and Rs.40000 in the third year.

Tenure for CSL Recruitment 2023: 

As per the official notification of CSL Recruitment 2023, the positions will be temporary and for a term of 03 years, with the possibility of extension dependent on the candidate’s performance and the company’s needs.

Application Fee for CSL Recruitment 2023: 

As per the official notification of CSL Recruitment 2023, the candidates have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.700 using the online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking/wallets/UPI etc.). The application fee is exempted for SC/ ST and PWBD Candidates.

Selection Procedure for CSL Recruitment 2023: 

As per the official notification of CSL Recruitment 2023, the eligible and desirous candidates will be selected based on an Objective Test and Personal Interviews conducted by the committee. The allocation of examination centres shall be at the sole discretion of CSL.  No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the selection process.
