Delhivery Receives Rs. 49.19 Crore Tax Notice for Dispute in GST

Delhivery Limited, a leading e-commerce logistics company, has received a tax notice of Rs. 49.19 crore. The notice has been sent to it by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Mumbai Zonal Unit, under the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) Act, 2017, and the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017.

The notice is due to a difference in the interpretation of tax rates on certain services rendered by the company between the financial years from 2018–19 to 2022–23. The issue is under dispute presently, and the company intends to contest the notice before the respective legal authorities.

As per the company’s regulatory filing, appropriate steps will be taken to appeal the issue and the position will be upheld under relevant laws.

This revelation was filed in the stock exchanges as per Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
