The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued a notification on February 25, 2022, mandating the procedure for detailed investigation of road accidents, the Detailed Accident Report (DAR), and its reporting, as well as timelines for various stakeholders, in order for the Motor Accident Claim Tribunal(MACT) to quickly settle claims. It has also made it mandatory to include a certified mobile number in the Certificate of Insurance.
