Directorate of Enforcement files Chargesheet in GST Fraud Case
The Enforcement Directorate of Lucknow unit has filed a prosecution complaint against Bhadohi-based Ashok Kumar Singh and his wife Sheela Singh in connection with a GST fraud. Ashok Kumar Singh, the accused, is also the national president of the Samaj Vikas Kranti Party and ran for Lok Sabha from Jaunpur in 2019.
ED stated that during the investigation, shell companies in his name and in the name of his wife, Sheela Sales Corp, were discovered. According to sources, the accused demonstrated a Rs.334 crore business based on forged transactions and receipts. The accused and his company also made a Rs.65 crore bogus GST. The investigation revealed that Ashok issued forged bills to over 300 businesses.
According to the ED’s investigation, Sheela Singh is a director of Sales Corporation, as well as M/s Chandan Sagar Sales Pvt. Ltd. and M/s Chandan Sagar Construction Pvt. Ltd.
ED stated, all of these entities are engaged in bogus trading. According to sources, they bought goods from one party and then sold them to other parties for a profit.
They sold all of his fake goods from his firm, M/s Sheela Sales Corporation, to the following companies through his bogus firms: M/s Chandansagar Sales Pvt. M/s Chandansagar Construction Pvt. Ltd. Ltd. Sheela Sales Pvt. Ltd. Struteco Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. Ltd, Nitin Khimraj Kanungo, and Chandan Enterprises.
