India’s tax system has a number of deadlines for various tax-related activities that run from April 1 to March 31 of every financial year. The Income Tax Department’s tax dates calendar is essential for maintaining compliance, managing finances, and optimizing tax liabilities in India.

Know the Tax Calendar for June 2024

June 07, 2024

​The due date for the deposit of tax deducted/collected for May 2024. However, all amounts deducted/collected by a government office must be deposited to the credit of the central government on the same day as tax is paid, without the submission of an income-tax challan.

June 14, 2024

The deadline for issuing a TDS certificate for tax deducted under sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M, and 194S (by a specified person) is April 2024

June 15, 2024

  • The due date for submitting Form 24G by a government office where TDS/TCS for the month of May 2024 was paid without the production of a challan.
  • Quarterly TDS certificates (for non-salary payments) for March 2024.
  • ​Certificate of tax deducted at source to employees in respect of salary paid and tax deducted during Financial Year 2023-24.
  • The due date for a stock exchange to provide a statement in form no. 3BB for transactions in which client codes were amended after registration in the system for the month of May 2024.
  • Provide a statement (in form No. 64D) of income received or credited by an investment fund to its unit holder for the prior financial year 2023-24.

June 29, 2024

The due date for an eligible investment fund to e-file a statement (in form no. 3CEK) under section 9A in respect of its actions in the financial year 2023-24.

June 30, 2024

  • The due date for filing a challan-cum-statement in respect of tax deducted under sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M, and 194S (by a specified person) is May 2024.
  • Return for securities transaction tax for the financial year 2023-24.
  • Quarterly return of non-deduction of tax at source by a banking institution from interest on time deposits for the quarter ending March 31, 2024.
  • The Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) will provide a statement (in form No. 64C) to unitholders about income disbursed during the previous financial year 2023-24.
  • The due date for submitting revenue statements distributed by business trust to unit holders for the financial year 2023-24. This statement must be provided to the unit holders in the form 64B.
  • Providing Equalisation Levy statement for the financial year 2023-24.
