For Scientist F

Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, and Civil Engineering

• Candidates should have at least a first-class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

Computer Science and Engineering

• Candidates should have at least a first-class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

For Scientist E:

Mechanical Engineering

• Candidates should have at least a first-class bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in mechanical engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautical

• Candidates should have at least a first-class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautical from a recognized university or equivalent.

Age Limit for DRDO Recruitment 2023:

For Scientists: ‘D, E, F

• The candidate’s age should not be more than 50 years old.

For Scientist C:

• The candidate’s age should not be more than 40 years old.

Salary for DRDO Recruitment 2023:

As stated in the official notification of DRDO Recruitment 2023, the selected candidates will get the following salary:

For Scientist F

• The selected candidates will get the monthly salary of Pay level 13 A (Basic Pay: -Rs. 131100) as per the 7th CPC

For Scientist E:

• The selected candidates will get the monthly salary of Pay level 13 (Basic Pay: -Rs. 123100) as per the 7th CPC

For Scientist D:

• The selected candidates will get the monthly salary of Pay level 12 (Basic Pay: -Rs. 78800) as per the 7th CPC

For Scientist C:

• The selected candidates will get the monthly salary of Pay level 11 (Basic Pay: -Rs. 67700) as per the 7th CPC

Application fees for DRDO Recruitment 2023:

In order to apply for the DRDO Recruitment 2023, candidates who belong to the general, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable application fee of Rs. 100, payable online only.

• There is no application fee for SC/ST/Divyang and female candidates.

Mode of Selection for DRDO Recruitment 2023:

As informed in the official notification of DRDO Recruitment 2023, the selection is based on interviews. Firstly, DRDO conducted a preliminary online interview with a short duration of 10–15 minutes. After that, the shortlisted candidates will be advised to appear for a final personal interview to be conducted as per rules at the venue and date, which will be intimated through the call letter. The final selection of candidates will be purely based on the merit of the marks scored by a candidate in the final personal interview. The candidates must score a minimum of 75% marks (i.e., 75 out of 100) for all vacancies in the final personal interview for consideration for selection.
