DRDO Recruitment 2023: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is seeking applications from eligible candidates to be employed for the posts of Research Associate(RA) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in various disciplines. As per the DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, the total number of vacancies is five (5). The hiring will be made through a walk-in interview that is scheduled on 09.09.2023 (Saturday) at 09.30 hrs. As of the day of the interview, the maximum age limit for applying for the position of Research Associate (RA) is 35 years, and the maximum age limit for applying for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is 28 years. The fellowships will pay Rs. 54000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (for RA) and Rs. 31000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (for JRF), as permitted by the guidelines. Candidates will be hired for a term of RA job is limited to two years, while that of a JRF position is limited to two years, which can be extended according to the rules.
As per the DRDO Recruitment 2023 official notification, qualifications earned by candidates must be from authorised universities, and NET/GATE qualifications must be current as of the day of the walk-in interview. Candidates interested in applying for the walk-in interview should provide their bio-data to [email protected]. Applicants should report to Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya on the above-mentioned date and time for a walk-in interview at Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory, Thrikkakara, P.O., Kochi. At the time of the interview, candidates must also bring a set of self-attested copies of all their testimonials/certificates, an ID proof (Voter’s ID/Aadhaar card/PAN card/Driving Licence) in original, and one current colour passport size photograph. Candidates working in the government, public sector, or autonomous entities should apply through the right channels. The Director of NPOL reserves the right not to select any candidate if suitable candidates are not available.

For Research Associate (Ocean Science)
Candidates should have a PhD in Ocean Sciences with experience in the field of Physical/Chemical Oceanography. He/she should possess an M. Tech (Ocean Technology) with 3 years of post-qualification research.
For Junior Research Fellow (Computer Science and Engineering)
Candidates must have a B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering in the first division with a valid NET/GATE certificate.
For Junior Research Fellow (Physics)
Candidates must have a Post-Graduate Degree in Basic Science in the subject/discipline in the first division, as well as a valid NET qualification.
