DSSSB Recruitment 2023 for 258 Vacancies: Check Post, Eligibility, Dates, and Other Details
DSSSB Recruitment 2023: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released a Recruitment 2023 notice, inviting online applications for various posts under the Department of Training & Technical Education (DTTE), Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The Board has specified that only online applications will be accepted, and applications received through any other mode will be summarily rejected without any correspondence in this regard. As per DSSB Recruitment 2023 official notification, the recruitment is for 20 different posts, ranging from Instructor Millwright, Technical Assistant (Junior), and Maintenance Mechanic, to Craft Instructors for various disciplines such as Basic Cosmetology, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Draughtsman Civil, Fitter, Electrician, Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Technician, Fashion Design & Technology, Turner, Sewing Technology, and Computer Operator & Programming Assistant.
Each of the posts has different requirements and qualifications, including NTC/STC/NAC holders and Degree/Diploma holders. As per DSSB Recruitment 2023 official notification, the Grade Pay for each of the posts is B 4200, and there are a total of 258 vacancies, including reserved categories such as EWS, OBC, SC, ST, PwD, and ExSM. Candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria and other details carefully before applying online. The online application process has begun on 9th March 2023 and the last date for submission is 7th April 2023.

To be eligible to apply for a particular post, a candidate must meet certain criteria. Firstly, the candidate must be a citizen of India. Secondly, the candidate must satisfy the age, educational qualifications, experience, and other requirements specified in the Recruitment Rules that have been notified by the User Department for the post in question. These rules are designed to ensure that candidates possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the duties of the post effectively. As per DSSB Recruitment 2023 official notification, it is important to note that the candidate’s educational qualification, age, experience, and other criteria will be assessed as of 07/04/2023. It is crucial for candidates to carefully read and understand the eligibility criteria before applying for any post to ensure that they meet all the requirements.
As per DSSB Recruitment 2023 official notification, the Examination Scheme for Tier A (Technical) posts consists of two sections – Section A and Section B. The exam code is I-T-T and the duration of the exam is two hours. The exam will be conducted in MCQ format, and there will be a total of 200 questions carrying a total of 200 marks. The syllabus for Section A includes General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, a Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension, and a Test of English Language & Comprehension. Each of these topics will carry 20 marks. Section B will include MCQs from the subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed for the post, carrying a total of 100 marks. The examination scheme for Tier A (Technical) posts has been designed to test the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of both general and subject-specific topics.
As per DSSB Recruitment 2023 official notification, the mode of selection for the DSSSB recruitment is a One Tier examination scheme. If any questions in the exam are held to be invalid, they will not be evaluated, and the marks scored by the candidate will be calculated on a prorated basis. The marks scored by candidates in the Computer Based Test/Exam will be normalized if required, and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and provisional nomination/selection.
After the examination, draft answer keys will be displayed on the website of DSSSB, and candidates may submit online objections, if any, within the stipulated time limit. Objections received through any other mode will not be entertained. The minimum qualifying marks for different categories (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/Ex-SM) have been fixed, which are 40% for General/EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi), and 30% for SC/ST/PH (PwD). Ex-Servicemen will be given 5% relaxation in their respective categories subject to a minimum of 30%, if the post is reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
To apply for the DSSSB recruitment, candidates must first register on the DSSSB’s portal. Registration is a one-time exercise, and the user ID and password generated after registration should be used to log in whenever a candidate is applying for examinations of the posts notified by DSSSB.
As per DSSB Recruitment 2023 official notification, eligible candidates can apply online through the website from 09/03/2023 to 07/04/2023 (till 11:59 PM), after which the link will be disabled. Candidates must go through the instructions for applying online carefully while filling up the online application form for the post concerned.
Candidates must submit their application online mode only, and no other mode of application shall be accepted. The application fee for the recruitment is Rs. 100/-, which should be paid through SBI e-pay. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, PwD (Person with Disability), and Ex-Serviceman category are exempted from paying the application fees.
Candidates are advised to submit online applications much before the closing date to avoid the last-minute rush. Before submission of the online application, candidates must check and ensure that they have filled correct details in each field of the online application form. Once the online application form is submitted, no request for change/correction/modification (including change of category) will be entertained or allowed under any circumstances.
