Due date extension request for filing TCS Return for Q4 FY 2020-21
All India MSME and Tax Professionals Association has requested MOF [Ministry of Finance] for a due date extension for TCS Return for Quarter 4 for FY 2020-21. Earlier due dates were extended for certain compliances vide Income Tax Circular No 9 of 2021 dated 20th May 2021 amid COVID-19 But the Due Date for Filing TCS Return for Quarter 4 for FY 2020-21 was not extended.
Further, the Association has requested for the due date of Filling ITRs, Audit, and Revised returns for F.Y. 19-20. Please note that it was earlier extended to 31st May 21 vide Circular No. 08 /2021 dated 30th April, 2021, after one month passing from the last date i.e. 31st March 2021. Since the situation has not changed much thus it is requested to give a chance to taxpayers again to get it filled up to 31st July 2021.
Further, the Association has requested for deferment of Sec 194Q of I.T. Act 1961, which is proposed to be implemented w. e. f. 01st July 2021. TDS on Purchase of Goods is proposed to be deducted under section 194Q. The same has been introduced by Budget 2021.
