Respected Madam

Sub.:- Request tor extention of due date for GST annual return of 2019-20

We have been receiving requests from trade associations, etc to extend date for annual return and GST audit for the year 2019-20 which is due on 28th February 2021.

For justification, we are sharing to following reasons to look into it

1. The audit for 2019-20 under income tax was extended by your good self to 15th January 21.

2. Utility for forms was made available on 1st January 21.

3. In Maharashtra still Covid-19 Restrictions for travel in local train and 30% staff. Recently in Maharashtra and Mumbai region we have seen spike in Covid-19 and it is required strict following of Covid-19 guidelines.

4. No loss of revenue if extended, to extend to 30 th June 21, at present it is 28th February.

We request to consider extention in larger interest of nation, and public and under any circumstanstances, IT IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE, ATLEAST FOR MUMBAI METROPOLITAN AREA, being most agrieved area of the country.
