Fake IT officials barge into trader's house; fled with cash worth Rs.60 lakh and 1.5kg gold A trader's home in the neighbourhood of Surajpole Anaj Mandi was raided by five armed robbers on Wednesday night while they pretended to be income tax officers. They kept the trader's family hostage before making off with 60 lakh rupees and 1.5 kilogrammes of gold. Satya Narayan Tambi, the victim, reported that the suspects broke into his home at around 7.30 p.m. while posing as income tax officers. They pulled out their weapons right away, kept my family hostage, and declared that the search would continue well into the night, Tambi claimed. When the burglars arrived, he was not at home. Tambi's family members were taped up and bound by the accused. He added that they threatened to shoot the child's family if he disobeyed their orders and demanded that my grandson show them where they might find the money and jewellery. Tambi claimed that the suspects spent about an hour searching the home. He added, adding that he arrived at the residence by 8pm, "They broke the locks of many almirahs and took away cash worth Rs 60 lakh and 1.5kg of gold." When I got there, the suspects were already inside, he claimed. He was imprisoned in a bathroom by robbers who also threatened to kill him. The front door of the house, according to family members, was typically left open. He claimed that his family cried for help after the perpetrators arrived while they were watching television. According to a different family member, the accused removed all the precious stuff and left nothing behind. They were carrying rods to open locks, according to Ritu Tambi, a different family member. Paris Deshmukh, DCP (North), stated that the police were looking for the suspects. The FSL crew arrived at the spot and took samples.
