Overview:

PWC is hiring an experienced Compliance & MIS Associate at their Gurugram location. Our Accounting team helps internal leaders with fixed assets accounting and asset management, financial reporting, accounting research and analysis, statutory and regulatory reporting, and data security. As part of the team, you’ll assist with monthly closings, financial analysis, oversight and management of controls and compliance, tax and cash projections and data security.

The complete details of this job are as follows:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Salary MIS, Reporting & Other Activities – Timely insights allows to make informed decisions, address anomalies, and optimize payroll processes.
  • Salary MIS including detailed reporting by cost center and Line of Service (LoS). This rigorous budgeting is reported directly to the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and other LoS Leaders monthly.
  • Preparing a concise snapshot of critical financial and operational metrics (Flash Report) for a month and analyze the reason for variances if any.
  • Execute detailed validations and checks on draft/final paysheets and F&Fs (Full & Final Settlements) for Nepal territory meticulously adhering to the completeness aspect (Headcount, input vs output, variance analysis, etc.), ensuring that all entries meet the high standards of accuracy, specific regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Cater to MIS requests for Bangladesh & Nepal territory.
  • Should be adaptable to handle ad hoc MIS requests on need basis.
  • Should possess great analytical skills and communication skills to answer questions from the Stakeholders/Partners if required.
  • Accurately process accounting (AP Subledger / General Ledger) in the internal accounting software, ensuring accuracy, correct allocation of cost center/project, and adheres to the relevant accounting principles. This includes conducting thorough reviews to prevent and correct errors, applying adjustments as needed, and maintaining a detailed log of all transactions for audit trails.
  • Prepare & monitor detailed monthly schedules to be submitted to the statutory reporting team, a crucial task that requires collating, reviewing, and reconciling data from various sources. The schedules must highlight key financial figures, provide insights into variances, and include a comprehensive analysis of accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.

Education and Certifications:

Compliances –

  • Reconciling Tax Stat report with the Final paysheet, General Ledger (GL), and Trial Balance (TB) to ensure accuracy and payment of monthly TDS challans.
  • Skillfully compile and finalize quarterly information for TDS return submissions and ensure accurate reporting of employee tax deductions.
  • Reconcile quarterly and yearly income data with paysheets, TDS returns, and acknowledgment slips.
  • Increased engagement with Internal tax team to resolve TDS related demands.
  • Issue Form 16 (TDS certificates) to employees, reflecting their annual tax details.
  • Utilize the FIRE Tool for monthly challan uploads, quarterly/yearly compliance, and Form-16 updates.
  • Engage monthly with the forensic team to scrutinize Reimbursable Flexible Benefits (RFBs). Check invoices through meticulous comparison against software-generated analysis and escalate any discrepancies to the ethics team.
  • Validating PAN Details from workday reports and promptly address missing or required updates through effective communication before the Payroll processing
  • Audit Facilitation and Cross-functional Synergy
  • Serve as a linchpin during both internal and external audits, showcasing payroll records and validations with unparalleled clarity and integrity.
  • Play an active role in projects dedicated to the refinement of system integrations and the automation of processes, ensuring scalable solutions that accommodate multi-country operations.
  • Collaborate with Precision plus team to enhance data flow and integration between payroll information and other financial tools maintaining confidentiality.

Skills Required:

  • Exhibit an exceptional ability to dissect complex datasets, swiftly identifying and rectifying discrepancies with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Possess stellar communication skills, facilitating seamless interactions with both internal and external stakeholders, thereby fortifying collaborative efforts.
  •  Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with a preference for candidates versed in payroll systems and accounting software.
  • Show an inherent ability to juggle multiple priorities, swiftly adapting to evolving business needs within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
