Finding Aadhaar Centres Just Got Easier: UIDAI Collaborates with Google Maps The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has partnered with Google to make it easier for people to find authorised Aadhaar service centres on Google Maps. This will help residents quickly locate the nearest verified Aadhaar centre without confusion. With this new feature, people will also be able to see what services each centre offers, such as new enrolment for adults, enrolment for children, or only updates like address and mobile number changes. Other useful details, such as whether the centre is accessible for persons with disabilities, parking availability, and opening hours, will also be shown where available.

This facility is expected to start in the next few months. The goal of this partnership is to make things more convenient for the public, reduce misinformation, and help people easily access more than 60,000 Aadhaar centres across India, including modern Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs). When someone searches on Google Maps, they will be directed to verified centres only. Through our collaboration with UIDAI to integrate verified Aadhaar centres, we aim to simplify access to trusted services for millions of residents, strengthening the connection between critical government infrastructure and the communities that rely on it, said Ms Roli Agarwal, Country Head, Strategic Partnerships at Google India.

In the next stage of the partnership, UIDAI will use Google Business Profile to update Aadhaar centre details and reply directly to people’s feedback, making the service more open and responsive. In the future, they also plan to let people book appointments directly through Google Maps, so residents can schedule their visits more easily and conveniently.
