From Small Town to National Topper: Mukund Agiwal’s Inspiring CA Journey
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) recently announced the results of the ICAI exams held in September 2025 for CA Final.
This time 'Mukund Agiwal' has secured Rank 1 (all over India), AIR-1, in the CA Final examination (September 2025). He is from Dhamnod, Madhya Pradesh. Other top scorers are Tejas Mundada (AIR-2) and Bakul Gupta (AIR-3).
Mukund Agiwal's consistent performance across both groups placed him at the top of the national merit list released by ICAI.
In the CA Final exam held in September 2025, more than 81,000 students appeared for the test across 458 exam centers all over India. 24.66% of the students passed Group I, and 25.26% passed Group II. Meanwhile, 16.23% of the candidates were able to clear both groups together, according to ICAI.
Mukund Agiwal’s journey has inspired his friends and the entire accounting community by showing that hard work and self-belief can help anyone overcome challenges.
His achievement has given hope to several students from small towns who are thinking of appearing in the upcoming CA examination. He also proved that success in competitive exams such as the CA Final is not only for students from big cities or famous/big coaching institutes.
