GATE 2023 Scorecard: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is likely to release detailed scorecards for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 tomorrow, March 21. Applicants can check it on the exam website. The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) has not yet announced an official release time for the GATE 2023 scorecard. As of present, it is set that the scorecards will be released on March 21, so candidates should keep monitoring the gate. iitk.ac.in on this day for the link.
The GATE 2023 scorecard will be accessible on the GOAPS portal. Once the scorecard is available, candidates must enter their user ID and password to view it. Interestingly, candidates will be able to obtain the scorecard for free until May 31, after which it will be available for a price of Rs 500.
According to the official GATE 2023 handout “In case, GATE qualified candidates require the softcopy of their GATE Scorecard after 31st May 2023 and till 31st December 2023, they MUST pay a fee of ₹ 500 (Rupees five hundred only) per paper for obtaining the same. From 1st January 2024 onwards, NO scorecard will be issued for GATE 2023 qualified candidates.”
On March 16, the aptitude test results were announced. The institute then only revealed candidates’ marks, GATE scores, and subject cut-offs, showing their qualification status. Now, comprehensive scorecards, which are required for admittance, will be made available. GATE scores can be used for admission and/or financial aid in government-funded colleges, as well as for employment at public sector undertakings (PSUs).
According to the GATE information handout “The GATE 2023 score is valid for Three Years from the date of announcement of the results”. This year, around 6.70 lakh applicants registered for GATE in 29 papers, of whom 5.17 lakh took the exam and approximately 1 lakh qualified, bringing the total pass percentage to approximately 18%.
