Good News for Exporters! RoDTEP Annual Return Deadline Extended till Nov 30 The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) has recently issued a public notification (No. 24/2025-2026), dated October 06, 2025, regarding Annual RoDTEP Returns, which are filed by exporters every year. RoDTEP stands for Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products.

Previously, the due date for filing the Annual RoDTEP Returns along with a composition fee of Rs. 10,000 was September 30, 2025, for the financial year 2023-24; however, now, in exercise of powers granted under paragraphs 1.03 & 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, the ministry has extended this deadline till November 30, 2025.
Ministry of Finance Amends Customs Notification: Removal of 'Missiles' from Description
The key motive behind this extension is to promote exports and make it easier for exporters to comply, which aligns with the government’s goal of ease of doing business. Exporters now have an extra time limit of two months to file their Annual RoDTEP Return (ARR) for the assessment year 2024-25. Refer to the official notification for complete information.
