Government Alert: Mandatory Mobile Number Update for Vehicle Owners
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is requesting driving license holders and vehicle owners to update their mobile number through parivahan portal to make sure their details are correct for valid service delivery and to enhance the e-challan system.
License holders and vehicle owners can now update the mobile number linked with your Driving License online in just 2 minutes. This process will allow contactless services, streamline communication and be compulsory for accessing most transport-related services.
Here's how you can update your mobile number:
Step 1: Visit the official website Visit official website vaahan.parivahan.gov.in/mobile update once the page opens, then start filling the form. Step 2: Fill in your details Take out your RC and fill in your:- Registration Number
- Vehicle Number
- Chassis Number
- Engine Number
- Enter Registration Date
- Fill the captcha and click validate
- Enter Aadhaar Number
- Enter you Name (same as on Aadhaar)
- Enter Aadhar-linked Mobile Number
- The final step is to tick the Term option
- Click on submit and
- Your Mobile Number will be updated
