The Government of India appoints Vivek Ranjan, 1988 batch IRS (C&IT) as Member (Tax Policy & Legal) at CBIC. He was earlier posted as Pr. Chief Commissioner GST and CX Zone, Ahmedabad before joining the board.
In September 2020, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri was appointed the new cultural representative of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
As per the CBIC Order, "Consequent upon appointment of Shri Vivek Ranjan as Member, CBIC it has been decided with the approval of the Competent Authority to allocate charges among the Members of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs."
