Government Revises RBI Deputy Governor Entry in SEBI Act 1992 (15)
The Financial Market Division under the Ministry of Finance and the Department of Economic Affairs recently shared a notification on November 26, 2025, regarding an amendment to an earlier notification from the Ministry of Finance.
In powers given by Section 4 (sub-section 1) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15), the Central Government makes the changes in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, number S.O. 147(E) dated February 21, 1992. Following are the changes:
In the notification, against serial number 3, for the existing entry, "Shirish Chandra Murmu...Member, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India" will be replaced.
