Government shows concern on GST PAN India Data Leak As per news sources, the Finance Ministry has shown concern on GST PAN India Data Leak. Earlier this week, the Finance Minister received a letter from the Surat Chartered Accountants Association (CAAS) alerting him to the leak.

According to people familiar with the matter, "the representations say that confidential taxpayer data which includes  GSTR-1, GSTR-2B, GSTR-3B, and e-Way Bills, was being illegally sold in the black market in a package based system, with rates ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 25,000 depending on the level of detail required." The Finance Minister has flagged concern with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), to investigate the matter and take corrective steps. The investigation is underway. Hopefully, some instructions will be released soon.
