GPSC has released the official notification for filling the posts of Assistant Engineer (Mechanical and Civil), Deputy Manager and Office Superintendent. As given in the official notification of GPSC Recruitment 2025, there are 164 vacant seats available for the indicated posts.

Age Limit for GPSC Recruitment 2025:

The candidate should meet the below-indicated age limit to apply for GPSC Recruitment 2025.

For Assistant Engineer  (Mechanical and Civil) Class-2 and Office Superintendent, Class-2 –

• The age of the candidate should not be more than 35 years. Age will be calculated as per the last date of online application.

For Deputy Manager (Finance and Account), Class-2-

• The age of the candidate should not be more than 37 years. Age will be calculated as per the last date of online application.

Age Relaxation-

• Age and Experience will be calculated as on the last date of online application.
• If the reserved category vacancy is zero, as mentioned in the advertisement, the Unreserved (General) age relaxation criteria will apply to the reserved category candidates.

Qualification and Experience for GPSC Recruitment 2025:

To be eligible for applying to GPSC Recruitment 2025, the candidate should have-

For Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Class-2-

• The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree of Engineering (Mechanical) or Technology (Mechanical) obatained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. OR
• The candidate should possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government and possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967. And
• The candidate should possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

For Assistant Engineer (Civil), Class-2-

• The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree of Engineering (Civil) or Technology (Civil) obatained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
• The candidate should possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967. And
• The candidate should possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

For Deputy Manager (Finance and Account), Class-2-

• The candidate should possess the following qualifications of-

1. Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. OR
2. Cost and Works Accountant from the Institute of Cost and Works Accounts of India. OR
3. Company Secretary (C.S.) from reputed University. OR
4. Master of Business Administration (Finance) with Second Class. OR
5. M.com (with Accountancy and Auditing) with Second Class.

• The degree mentioned in (iv) and (v) above must be obtained from the Universities or Institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India or any other Educational Institutions recognised as such or declared to be a deemed university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
• The candidate should possess the basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967. And
• The candidate should possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

For Office Superintendent, Class-2-

• The candidate should a Bachelor degree in any discipline obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the central or State Act in India or any other Educational Institution recognized as such or declared to be a deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
• The candidate should possess the basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967. And
• The candidate should possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Salary for GPSC Recruitment 2025:

As per the official notification of GPSC Recruitment 2025, the candidates who are selected will be offered a monthly salary in the Pay scale Rs.44900-142400/- [Level-8] in the GWSSB service.

Selection Process for GPSC Recruitment 2025:

The candidates will be selected for GPSC Recruitment 2025 on the basis of a Preliminary test and interview. The Preliminary test will consist of 100 questions of 100 marks of General Studies and 200 questions of 200 marks of the Respective Subject. Total 300 questions of 300 marks. The Preliminary test will usually be held at Gandhinagar/ Ahmedabad and candidates will have to be present at their own expense. The candidates who pass in the preliminary test will be called for the interview.

Candidates of General (Unreserved) category have to pay Rs. 100 + applicable postal charges or Rs. 100 + Service Charges through online mode as Application Fees. While Candidates belonging to reserved categories and the Economically Weaker Section of the Unreserved category of Gujarat State, Ex-Servicemen and physically disabled candidates not have to pay application fees. While candidates of the reserved category of other states have to pay the application fee.
