GST and IT taxpayers can’t avail Gruha Lakshmi Scheme benefits in Karnataka
The State Government has published specific guidelines for implementing the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme (Rs 2,000 per month for each female head of a family). As a result, whether a woman or her husband is subject to the Income Tax net or GST, they are ineligible for the plan. Women with BPL/APL or Antyodaya cards qualify.
In BPL, APL, or Antyodaya cards, the beneficiary’s name should be listed as the head of the family, according to the criteria. People who do not have these cards are not eligible.
Beneficiaries who are eligible can apply between June 15 and July 15. Beneficiaries will be chosen after July 15. They will be paid on August 15. It will be deposited into their bank accounts. Women can apply via the Seva Sindhu portal or through certified agents.
If applicants provide fraudulent information, the money will be returned and action will be taken against them. Applicants for this initiative must have bank accounts connected to their Aadhaar numbers.
Before taking advantage of the Gruha Jyothi Scheme, be cautious and start saving for the power rate for the months of June and July. Customers are failed to get their power invoices one week into June. On Wednesday, Energy Minister KJ George said that the delay in producing bills was due to the department estimating the amount based on the change in KERC orders.
