GST Anti Evasion Department detects ITC Fraud worth Rs.8.7 Crore
The Anti Evasion Department of the GST Commissionerate Nagpur-1 discovered that M/s D Solanki Enterprise had fraudulently claimed input tax credit (ITC) worth Rs 8,77,21,5338 and had passed on Ineligible ITC worth Rs 9,05,06,060.
M/s D Solanki Enterprise, which trades in commodities categorised under the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act 2017 and has the GSTIN number 27PESPS8037G1ZF, has been stopped with immediate effect for claiming and passing on false ITC.
Dilipbhai Gabhabhai Solanki, Owner of M/s D Solanki Enterprise, trades in commodities classified as HSN 39012000, 39021000, and 47071000.
According to the Advait report, authorities from Anti-Evasion Nagpur-1 visited the taxpayer on February 14, 2023, in accordance with Section 67(1) of the CGST Act, 2017.
The preliminary investigation of the tax-payer revealed that the electricity bill of the given consumer number was erroneous.
During the firm’s visit, it was discovered to be non-existent at its designated location of business (PPOB).
According to the information, the taxpayer illegally claimed Rs 8,77,21,5338 in input tax credit and also passed on invalid input tax credit of Rs 9,05,06,060.
Taxpayer registration has been suspended with immediate effect. According to the Anti Evasion Department Nagpur-1, more investigation is underway.
