GST DSC Issue: From 1st January only class 3 DSC will work on GSTN

GST DSC Issue: From 1st January only class 3 DSC will work on GSTN Facing DSC 'Failed to connect emsigner' issue?

• From 1st January 2021 onwards only Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) issued by DSC service provider will work on GSTN.
• However, class 2 DSC is valid till the date of expiry.
• Renewal of DSC will be Class 3 only.

The Taxpayer might face challenges (Failed to connect emsigner) to use Renewed DSC as new DSC token will require driver available in new DSC. The earlier driver was specific to Class 2. Following Steps are required to be taken:

• Attach New DSC token in your computer
• Open the DSC (service provider DSC folder)
• Uninstall the old driver and Install new driver available In-Service provide DSC and login once in Service provider software using PIN
• Follow the earlier steps of using DSC on GST portal
