GST Evasion Probe: DGGI Targets Son of Ex-Bhilwara BJP President with Multi-Location Raid
The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) recently conducted a raid on Thursday at the premises of the son of the former Bhilwara BJP president. The raid was conducted on the allegation of tax evasion worth approximately Rs 10 crore.
Investigation team arrived at the house of BJP leader and former UIT Chairman Laxmi Narayan Dad around 9 AM. After getting more information that Nikhil (accused) does not live in his father's house, the team reached their six different locations as well.
The investigation team also investigates Nikhil's business partner because Nikhil runs a business of chemical coal supply in the textile industry; apart from this, he is also involved in property and finance work.
The team received information about GST evasion of around 10 crores. the team is also searching the premises of Nikhil's friend and business partner, Anuj Somani, as well.
The team is inspecting documents at Nikhil's Kumud Vihar Flat and office and processing units in RIICO and Chittorgarh.
Team first reached Nikhil's ancestral home in Shastri Nagar in the morning. The team gets to know that he lives in flat number 803 in Kumud Vihar. After which, they reached his Kumud Vihar flat along with Grandfather and Nikhil's younger brother. It is being disclosed that Nikhil lives in this flat and runs his office from here only.
In initial investigation the team has seized many important documents (which are yet to be analyzed).Currently, the team is examining digital data and documents. Apart from this, the staff is also questioned.
