GST Fake registration drive is a verification process and not inspection process: Read Clarification CBIC vide instruction number Instruction No. 01/2023-GST dated 04-May-2023 has announced that GST Fake Registration Drive will take place from 16th May 2023 to 15th July 2023 . This is done to curb menance of fake billing and weed out Fake GST Registrations. GST Evasion: AI will be used to reveal GST Fraud; Suspicious GST registration will be Identify GST Department has clarified that As a part of this exercise, teams headed by AC/ Dy.AC of the commercial taxes department will visit business premises of tax payers for verification of the genuineness of the registrations as per data recived from GSTN. This is strictly a verification process and not in any way Inspection of business premises of the dealer.
