GST Officials Conduct Raid at Ocean 11 Resort Over Tax Discrepancies
The Goods and Service Tax (GST) team raided in Gorakhnath Nakaha at the Ocean 11 Resort. The teams are investigating wedding bookings and other booking forms.
A team has arrived to check whether there are any mismatches between the GST tax paid in previous years and the total money earned from wedding bookings. Basically, they want to find out if the taxes paid match the income made from the wedding business.
This investigation is not just happening at the local level; even the higher officials, including the commissioner, have given orders to look into such cases. The main goal is to catch people who might be hiding their real income or cheating on taxes, especially those who earn huge amounts of money from people in the name of running a business but don’t pay the right amount of tax.
The team came because of these instructions. They arrived around 12 noon and started checking all the records and details carefully. However, investigation is still ongoing.
