GST to keep strict watch at e-way & goods going to poll-bound states
The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi said that in order to ensure there is no distribution of any kind of inducement to voters, we have zero tolerance towards this. There would be no cash movement in poll-bound states between 5 pm to 5 am, GST will look at e-way and goods going to the poll-bound and neighbouring states. Airports will also keep a strict watch so that no unscheduled flight goes unchecked.
Election Commission of India announced the date for the upcoming assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh.
On November 12, a single round of voting will be place for Himachal Pradesh's 68 seats in the state's assembly. The deadline for nomination submission is October 25, and the election's vote-counting day is December 8. Although Gujarat has 182 assembly seats, there was no news regarding their elections.
