The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) recently issued an office order (No. 03/2025) on December 26, 2025 regarding appointed members in GSTAT.
The Ministry of Finance added that, after getting approval from the right authority, they have decided how to assign the "benches" for the members who have been appointed to the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT).
The Ministry of finance has appointed 28 members as Technical Member (Centre), 6 members as Technical Member (State) and 49 members as Judicial Member.
Further, it requested the selected members to join their respective benches on January 21, 2026.
