Ministry of Finance Notifies Amendments in NDPS Rules 1985 The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) recently shared a notification on December 10, 2025, regarding the amendment of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules,1985. The Central Government, in powers given by Section 9, read with Sections 4 and 76 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (61), makes the following rules to amend the NDPS Rules, 1985:

These rules will be known as the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules, 2025, will come into effect on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
