The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) recently shared a notification on December 10, 2025, regarding the amendment of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules,1985.
The Central Government, in powers given by Section 9, read with Sections 4 and 76 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (61), makes the following rules to amend the NDPS Rules, 1985:
- These rules will be known as the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
- The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules, 2025, will come into effect on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
