GSTAT Update: 3 Technical Members Appointed in Uttar Pradesh Benches
The Government of India, through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, has recently announced appointments to the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) in Uttar Pradesh. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), after taking recommendations from the Search-cum-Selection Committee, has appointed three experienced professionals as Technical Members (State) to the GSTAT benches located in Uttar Pradesh. Each appointee will work for four years, starting from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or until they reach the age of 67, whichever comes first. The monthly salary for the position has been set at Rs. 2,25,000. Here are the appointed members: Vivek Kumar (28.06.1964): He has retired as a Member of the Commercial Tax Tribunal, Bench-II in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Ananjai Kumar Rai (01.01.1967): Ananjai Kumar Rai is currently a Member of the Commercial Tax Tribunal, Bench-4 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
